Myles and the Monster Outside is an OLA HONOUR BOOK!

Illustrator Shawna Daigle and I holding up our favourite books
when we were kids: books inspire us and stay with us, our whole lives.
Thanks to Riley Murray for the photo.

WOW! Today Myles and the Monster Outside came second in the biggest children's literary award in Canada: we won "Honour Book #1" for the Silver Birch Express award, part of the Ontario Library Association  Forest of Reading.

Congrats to the Winner, Andree Poulin, The Biggest Poutine in the World, and to all the other nominees!

I'm rushing off tomorrow to the final event in Sault Ste. Marie, so will do a longer blog post about the awesome experience after that.

But for now, a few pics. And a heartfelt thank you.
I see you, Myles ...

Signing, signing, signing.
